The Institute of Fiscal Studies (Instituto de Estudios Fiscales, IEF) is the Spanish public finance research and training centre.

Its institutional role is to establish and promote forums for research and reflection, both internal and external, which are responsive to the needs of public finance and civil society. It is also responsible for developing high quality training, specifically designed with the policies and strategic objectives of this Ministry.
