The General Secretariat for Autonomous and Local Authority Financing is the managing body responsible, under the authority of the State Secretariat for Finance, for managing, promoting and coordinating the powers assigned to the Department with regard to relations with the Autonomous Regions, cities with a Statute of Autonomy and the entities that make up the Local Authorities.

In this capacity, it provides the secretariat for the Fiscal and Financial Policy Council of the Autonomous Communities, as well as relations with other coordination bodies between the General State Administration and the Autonomous Communities and local entities within its area of competence.
