Consortium of the City of Toledo

The Consortium of Toledo is the management body of the Royal Board of Trustees of the City of Toledo, in accordance with Article 6 of Royal Decree 1424/1998, of 3 July, which establishes and organises the Royal Board of Trustees of the City of Toledo.

The structure comprises the General State Administration, the Junta de Comunidades de Castilla-La Mancha, the Diputación Provincial de Toledo and the Toledo City Council.

It is attached to the General State Administration, with the Ministry of Finance and Public Function serving as the ministry of attachment. This is in accordance with the provisions of Article 1 of the Statutes of the Consortium of the City of Toledo, which were approved in their current wording by the Board of Directors on 13 December 2018 and published in the Official State Gazette on 20 December 2018. The Undersecretariat of the Ministry of Finance is responsible for this (BOE no. 309 of 24 December 2018).

In line with Article 4 of its Statutes, the Consortium of Toledo's primary objective is to provide administrative and management support to the Royal Board. The Royal Board's goal is to promote and coordinate all activities carried out in Toledo by the city's administrative and institutional entities. These activities are focused on preserving Toledo's heritage, disseminating its values, and developing and promoting cultural and tourist activities related to the city.
