Cuenca City Consortium
The Consortium of the City of Cuenca, comprising the General State Administration, the Regional Government of Castilla-La Mancha, the Provincial Council of Cuenca and the City Council of Cuenca, is responsible for the execution of projects and the management of services agreed upon by the relevant administrations. It also oversees the management of public establishments and services entrusted to it by the appropriate authority, as well as the management and development of tasks derived from the execution of agreements adopted by the Royal Board of Trustees of the City of Cuenca.
The Royal Board was established by Royal Decree on 23 January 2004 and operates as a permanent collegiate body affiliated with the Ministry of Finance and Public Administration. The function of the organisation is to promote and coordinate the actions to be carried out in Cuenca by the administrative bodies and entities that comprise it. These actions are aimed at the conservation and revitalisation of the city's cultural heritage and the development and enhancement of cultural and tourist activities linked to it.
